- Willow Creeks Reports That Church Programs Don't Work. I've been wanting to write on this since I initially read this post and the study from Willow Creek (video). According to a recent survey WC has done, they've found that programs in the local church do not equal stronger, committed Christians, quite the opposite, people want to experience everyday spiritual growth through Bible reading, prayer and more direct sharing of faith. A favorite pastor/blogger of a small church, Chuck Warnock, does a better job of summarizing the findings but the Bill Hybels video is worth watching.
