Stop Spinning Your Wheels in Ministry and Get Some Traction
Ed Stetzer and Mike Dodson write that it’s easy to get to a place in ministry when it feels like the church is just running in place, spinning its wheels, and going nowhere fast. But things don’t have to stay that way.
One of the traditions, or requirements, of my growing up is that we ate dinner together - mom, dad, my two brothers and I. Every day, no exceptions; if someone was running a little late, we waited. As I grew older I found that there were households that never ate together, for me that was a shame. The NYTimes writes on research from the University of Minnesota cite health and lifestyle benefits of a simple meal a couple of times a week.
