Leaving the Church and Build before you Build
A little busy this week but here are some tid-bits that caught our attention.
Leaving the Church. A very interesting approach by Craig Groeschel, pastor of LifeChurch.tv, a multi-campus church. His take on helping people who need a church change move to other churches where they will be genuinely pastored and taken care - he provides contact information and resources of other churches in town.
Build it and they will come? Chuck Warnock is doing some really smart things with his small church. One of the programs Pastor Chuck has been careful to establish is not putting the horse before the cart - they've started an afternoon program, ramped up to get visibility and impact into the local community, hired staff than made the necessary steps to acquire/build a community center. Those of you with large buildings/campuses know that these facilities are very expensive to run and certainly don't help when empty 6 days of the week. Good job to Pastor Warnock.
