Ch. 7 - (book: The Oneness of God)
1.
Gen. 1:26 - "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..."
From the perspective of oneness, God is talking to Himself (Eph. 1:11), or more likely to the angels. Job tells us that the angels were there at creation.Gen. 1:27 "He created Him in His own image..." now changes to singular
Gen. 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground..." The Lord Himself formed man
2. Chapter 8 - New Testament Explanations: The Gospel
Four (4) important aids to expliananing the Gospel
1. When you see a plural used in reference to Jesus, we should be looking at the dual nature: 1) the humanity and 2) the diety.
John 14:23 -
2nd Cor. 13:14 "...grace of Jesus, love of the father, communion of the holy ghost..." - One God with three different attributes: grace describes the death on the cross, love describes the giving of His son, the communion is the regeneration of the spirit giving the relationship with God (not being cut off from God)2. role as God or as man
