Sunday School this weekend
- By way of MondayMorningInsight.com, there is a great post on RevitalizeYourChurch.com taking a look at the top 10 churches from 1969 and how they are doing today as featured in Elmer Town's (one of my favorite authors) book, "Ten Largest Sunday Schools in America" (available in PDF).

- Take a look what our Sunday School (First Church San Jose) is doing to reach our neighborhood via our Blue Bomber (the bus is painted blue) bus ministry.

Web Reading: Reacting to the Cyclone, ChristianAudio.com, the Call to Start a New Church
We're back from a week on our family cruise down the Mexican Riviera - that was fun, can't wait for next year.

- John Piper has some great ideas on how Christians should react to the Cyclone in Myanmer.

- If you're into books like we are, check out ChristianAudio.com where you can buy CD or MP3 versions of books. If you subscribe to ChristianAudio.com or a similar service, we'd like to hear how you like it!

- It would be comical if it weren't so downright sad, Nelson Searcy writes on OutreachMagazine.com about the call to start a new church work, one of the reasons NOT to start a church is that "its the 'in' thing" to do. He goes on to share some great, nay, "requirements" for starting a church, such as your wife also sharing the call to start a church. Good stuff.

10 Ways Kids Can Love Missions and Thinking Ahead, a wikiHow
10 Ways to Help Kids Love Missions
From the Desiring God blog by John Piper
There are things we can do to help our kids love the nations and the cause of Christ, even though a heart and calling for the Great Commission is ultimately something only God can grant. Here are a few ideas from a couple who are currently preparing to serve in Asia with their two young daughters.

Being Better at Thinking Ahead - wikiHow
Something completely off our normal topic: A great wikiHow that I thought I'd share: No one can see the future, yet we all must make guesses about it in order to make decisions and be better prepared for what comes our way. The guesses that we make aren't based on seeing the future, but on our knowledge and past experiences, with a little bit of insight mixed in. Here's how you can get better at thinking ahead.
