By PRISCILLA ALMARAZ Missionaries To The Dominican RepublicPraise the Lord! First of all, I would like to thank God for this privilege. Let's see, where can I start? There is so much that God is doing in my life and my family's, and especially in the missionary work out here in the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic is in the Caribbean Sea, very close to Puerto Rico - for those that are wondering. :) The weather out here is very tropical, and warm! All year through, we have no winter! I would like to tell you a lil bit of ourselves. We have been here 8 years this year and all I have to say is that the Lord has never left us. Yes, there have been times of need, loneliness, and maybe even sickness, but we rejoice in knowing that what we are doing is not in vain. And the Lord has always been here for us, to supply, to heal, to comfort! Praise God! We have 2 children, John (7) and Jarius (3). They have been raised here, and thank the Lord, they are doing great! I would like to share with you all the wonderful things that God is doing in this country. This last April, we had a tremendous victory and blessing with us her in the Dominican. Pastor Abel Aguilar and CT Choir, came down to minister at a crusade, and we had an auditorium full of souls, hungry for the word. It was a tremendous blessing. This is the very first time the Dominican Republic ever received and heard a choir! The brethren were so full of joy and just praising God! The best part of it was that souls were set free, and filled with the Holy Ghost, they were healed of different sicknesses, and disease, they received a miracle! The presence of God was so powerful! We thank God for that tremendous blessing, and also Pastor Abel and CT Choir. There is now a total of 13 churches, and also new missions that are being opened. We ask for your prayers, so that
the Lord may use and supply to the brethren here locally, and
also for my husband John Mark Almaraz, that the Lord may use
him in a mighty way and take care of him as he does all of his
supervising jobs around the island and that we may always persevere
in working for the Lord! And also for my children and myself.
Oh! And also please pray for this country that the Lord may have
mercy also with the electricity (they take it everyday without
notice and sometimes for long periods of time)! But don't worry,
if you decide you would like to visit us, we have a generator.
