Buck-Naked
Faith: A
Brutally Honest Look at Stunted
Christianity
By Eric Sandras, Ph.D
For
many of us, we have found ourselves living a full-filled faith life.
However, as Eric Sandras explains in his book "Buck Naked Faith",
living a daily routine and living an abundance life of victory are
totally two different things. He
challenges the reader to take a true look at the inner self to truly
determine what kind of faith he or she has.
Faith
maturity, however, is not grown overnight. Sandras explains that God
has given the believer the tools to increase its faith, but it must be
given time to grow. If not given time to grow, our faith can resemble
the real thing and not be the real thing. Therefore, it's crucial to
take an honest look at our lives. Sandras
uses the illustration of Bonsai trees. They are intended to look real
trees, yet they are very weak and miniature replicas of the real big
trees found in the forest. Forest trees have deepened their roots over
the years, have thick trunks and can last any weather condition such
as cold winters, hot summer, and windy storms. A real faith resembles
itself to the forest trees and not like a Bonsai.
Which faith tree
would you like to experience? If your answer is the real thing, then
now is the time to truly take your faith to the extreme level:
buck-naked. In doing so, you will see God's purpose active in your life.
