In 2 Kings 1, King Ahaziah of Israel suffers a serious fall and turns to a pagan god, Baal-Zebub, instead of seeking the Lord. But God sends the prophet Elijah with a powerful message of judgment. When Ahaziah’s soldiers try to seize Elijah, fire falls from heaven—twice! Only when the third captain humbly pleads for mercy does Elijah go peacefully to deliver God’s word.

This chapter powerfully reminds us to seek God first, walk in humility, and trust that His word never fails.
