Imagine being ripped from your home, stripped of power, and imprisoned in a foreign land. That was Jehoiachin’s fate in 2 Kings 25. After Babylon conquered Jerusalem, Judah’s young king was taken captive for 37 long years—forgotten and broken. But then, something miraculous happened.
Babylon’s new king, Evil-Merodach, released Jehoiachin from prison, spoke kindly to him, and restored his honor. The fallen king was given new clothes, daily food, and a permanent seat at the king’s table.
Jehoiachin’s story is a breathtaking reminder that God’s grace can reach even into exile. No matter how dark your season or how long your wait, restoration is possible. God can turn captivity into comfort, despair into hope, and loss into new beginnings.
✨ Even in exile—hope can find you.
