In Jeremiah 5, God sends the prophet Jeremiah on a heartbreaking mission — to find just one righteous person in Jerusalem who seeks truth and justice. If such a soul exists, the Lord promises to spare the entire city. Yet, what Jeremiah finds instead is spiritual decay, deceit, and rebellion at every level of society.

From the poor to the powerful, the people have rejected God’s correction and listened to false prophets who preach peace where there is none. Despite their sin, God’s mercy and patience still shine through, reminding us that His desire is restoration, not destruction.
