Jeremiah 9 is one of the most emotional and hard-hitting chapters in the entire book of Jeremiah. The prophet cries out with overwhelming grief, wishing his head were a fountain of tears because of Judah’s deep spiritual collapse. Their society is filled with deceit, betrayal, and dishonesty — everyone lies, no one can be trusted, and the nation has abandoned God’s law.
God speaks through Jeremiah with a sobering warning:
🔥 Judgment is coming.
🔥 The land will become desolate.
🔥 Exile awaits those who refuse to repent.
Yet even in the middle of judgment, God offers hope. He calls His people to humility — not in worldly things like wealth, wisdom, or strength, but in knowing Him:
The LORD who delights in lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness.
In this video, we break down:
Jeremiah’s grief and why it matters
The nation’s corruption and deceit
God’s message of warning and justice
The invitation to true humility
The central message: glory only in knowing God
📖 “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom… but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me.” — Jeremiah 9:23–24 (KJV)
