In a time of deep despair, Jairus, a synagogue leader, approached Jesus with a heavy heart. His twelveyearold daughter was gravely ill, teetering on the brink of death. With unwavering faith, Jairus pleaded, "My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live." Jesus, moved by his faith, agreed to go with him. As they journeyed, news arrived that the girl had already passed away. Undeterred, Jesus told Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just believe."

Upon arriving at Jairus' house, they were met with mourning and crying. Jesus, confident in His divine power, declared, "The child is not dead but asleep." He took Peter, James, John, and the child's parents into the room where she lay. Taking her hand, He said, "Talitha koum!" which means, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!" Immediately, the girl stood up and walked around. Her astonished parents watched as Jesus instructed them to give her something to eat and to keep the miracle private.

This powerful act showcased Jesus' divine authority and the boundless power of faith, reaffirming that with belief, even the seemingly impossible can be made possible.
