Luke 10 is a powerful chapter in the Gospel where Jesus expands His mission and teaches one of the most famous parables in the Bible.

First, Jesus appoints seventy followers and sends them out in pairs to prepare the towns He plans to visit. They are told to bring peace, heal the sick, and proclaim that the Kingdom of God is near. Their mission shows that spreading God’s message requires faith, courage, and dependence on the Lord.

When the seventy return, they are amazed that even evil spirits obey them. But Jesus gives them an important reminder: the greatest joy is not power or miracles, but that their names are written in heaven.

The chapter then presents one of the most beloved teachings of Jesus—the Parable of the Good Samaritan. When a lawyer asks Jesus how to inherit eternal life, Jesus illustrates true love for neighbor. A wounded man is ignored by a priest and a Levite, but a Samaritan—someone despised by society—shows compassion and mercy.

The lesson is clear: real faith is demonstrated through action. Loving God means showing mercy and kindness to everyone, regardless of background or status.

Luke 10 challenges us to live out our faith boldly—sharing God’s message and practicing genuine compassion in our daily lives.
