Matthew 15 confronts a powerful tension: man-made tradition versus the truth of God’s Word.

When the Pharisees challenge Jesus about ritual handwashing, He exposes their deeper problem—elevating tradition above God’s commandments. He points to how they manipulate religious rules while neglecting what truly matters.

📖 “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth… but their heart is far from me.” (KJV)

Jesus makes it clear:

True defilement does not come from what enters the mouth—but from what flows out of the heart.

Then comes one of the most powerful moments of faith in the Gospel. A Canaanite woman—an outsider—cries out for her daughter’s healing. Though tested, she refuses to give up.

Her humility and persistence move Jesus:

📖 “O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” (KJV)

Her story proves that faith—not heritage—opens the door to God’s power.

Jesus continues healing multitudes and performs another miracle of provision—feeding four thousand with seven loaves and a few fish. Once again, compassion multiplies what is surrendered.

Matthew 15 teaches us:
