Matthew 24, often called the Olivet Discourse, is one of the most powerful prophetic teachings of Jesus Christ.

On the Mount of Olives, Jesus foretells:

The destruction of the Jerusalem Temple (fulfilled in AD 70)

Wars and rumors of wars

Famines and earthquakes

Persecution of believers

The rise of false prophets

A great tribulation

His glorious return

Imagine the setting — disciples under Roman occupation, tension in Jerusalem, uncertainty in the air. And Jesus speaks not panic… but perspective.

“See that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” – Matthew 24:6 (KJV)

He warns:

⚠️ Don’t be deceived.

⚠️ Don’t be alarmed.

⚠️ Don’t lose faith.

He teaches watchfulness through the image of the fig tree budding — when you see the signs, you know the season.

But here’s the key:

No one knows the day or hour.

Matthew 24 is not meant to create fear charts.

It’s meant to create faithful hearts.

This chapter calls us to:

✔ Stay ready

✔ Stay discerning

✔ Stay faithful

✔ Trust God’s sovereignty

In a world of chaos, confusion, and constant headlines…

Jesus says: Don’t panic. Persevere.
