Imagine waiting your entire life for the most important moment…
Only to miss it because you weren’t ready when it mattered most.
That is the warning at the heart of Matthew 25.
In the Parable of the Ten Virgins, Jesus Christ tells a sobering story:
Ten virgins go out to meet the bridegroom.
All have lamps.
All are waiting.
All fall asleep.
But only five bring extra oil.
When the midnight cry rings out — “Behold, the bridegroom cometh!” — the difference is revealed.
The wise are ready.
The foolish are scrambling.
And when the door shuts… it does not reopen.
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” – Matthew 25:13 (KJV)
This parable teaches us:
⚠️ Proximity to faith is not the same as preparation
⚠️ Spiritual readiness cannot be borrowed
⚠️ Last-minute panic cannot replace lifelong devotion
The oil represents the inner life:
Genuine faith
Obedient character
A living, daily relationship with God
You can’t borrow holiness.
You can’t rush intimacy.
You can’t fake readiness.
Matthew 25 asks one haunting question:
👉 If Jesus came tonight… would your lamp still be burning?
🔥 Watch now — and don’t sleep through the moment that matters most.
