Dive deep into the Messianic Psalms, particularly Psalm 22 and Psalm 110, which vividly foretell the coming, suffering, and ultimate reign of Jesus Christ. Psalm 22 begins with a haunting cry of anguish: "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (Psalm 22:1, KJV), directly foreshadowing Jesus' own words on the cross. The psalmist details the physical and emotional torment of the Messiah, centuries before the crucifixion: "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint" (Psalm 22:14, KJV). Astonishingly, verses 16-18 describe the piercing of His hands and feet and the casting of lots for His garments, accurately predicting the events that unfolded at Golgotha.

Yet, Psalm 22 transitions from despair to a profound note of hope and deliverance: "For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard" (Psalm 22:24, KJV), signifying the Messiah's ultimate victory and resurrection.

In contrast, Psalm 110 exalts the Messiah as a Priestly King. "The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool" (Psalm 110:1, KJV) speaks to Jesus' divine authority and eternal kingship. Verse 4 establishes His eternal priesthood: "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek" (Psalm 110:4, KJV). Psalm 110 concludes with the assurance of Jesus' triumph over His enemies, reflecting His victory over sin and death.

These psalms together provide a powerful glimpse into the life, suffering, and reign of Jesus Christ.
