In 2 Kings 15, we witness a whirlwind of kings rising and falling across Israel and Judah β a time marked by chaos, pride, and spiritual decay.
π In Judah:
King Azariah (Uzziah) begins his reign strong, doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord. But pride creeps in when he unlawfully enters the temple to burn incense β and God strikes him with leprosy. His son Jotham takes over governance in his place.
βοΈ In Israel:
A rapid succession of rulers follows β Zechariah, Shallum, Menahem, Pekahiah, Pekah, and Hoshea β each turning from God and perpetuating violence and instability. Assassinations, foreign pressures, and idolatry plague the nation.
This chapter paints a sobering picture of how disobedience and pride lead to destruction, while humility and faithfulness bring Godβs favor.
π βRighteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.β β Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)
π Let this message remind us that leadership without Godβs guidance leads only to confusion β but when we walk humbly with Him, there is stability and peace.
