Good day, dear friends. Today, we delve into one of the spiritual gifts described in Ephesians 4:11-12—the gift of evangelism. Evangelists are passionate individuals who proclaim the gospel and lead others to a personal relationship with Christ. The term "evangelist" comes from the Greek word "euangelistes," meaning "a bringer of good news." They are fervent in sharing the message of Jesus Christ, salvation, and eternal life.

The New Testament highlights several evangelists. Philip the Evangelist played a significant role, as noted in Acts 8:4-5, where he preached Christ in Samaria. Timothy, another key figure, was encouraged by Paul to "do the work of an evangelist" (2 Timothy 4:5).

Evangelists are essential for proclaiming the gospel to those who haven't heard it. Romans 10:14 emphasizes their importance, asking, "How shall they hear without a preacher?" They guide individuals to Christ, explaining the significance of His death and resurrection. Acts 8:35-36 beautifully illustrates Philip's encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch, leading him to faith.

Evangelists' dedication continues to shape the church today, edifying the body of Christ.
