Psalm 1 begins with the word "Blessed," immediately capturing our attention and setting a tone of happiness and fulfillment. This psalm reveals a divine pathway to true blessedness, which is deeply rooted in delighting in the law of the Lord. "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." (Psalm 1:2, KJV). This verse highlights the importance of constant meditation on God's Word as the source of true joy and wisdom.

The blessed man is depicted as a tree planted by streams of water, continuously nourished and thriving. "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." (Psalm 1:3, KJV). This imagery symbolizes stability, growth, and prosperity that come from living a life rooted in God's Word.

In contrast, the ungodly are likened to chaff blown away by the wind, illustrating the instability and lack of substance in a life disconnected from God. The psalm concludes with a stark reminder: "For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish." (Psalm 1:6, KJV). This verse emphasizes the eternal consequences of our choices.

Psalm 1 encourages us to reject the ways of the wicked and embrace a life guided by God's principles, leading to lasting fulfillment and divine blessings.
