Good morning, brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, we will explore the spiritual gift of apostleship as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:28: "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues." The gift of apostleship is foundational to the growth and expansion of the church, enabling believers to establish new ministries, plant churches, and provide spiritual oversight. By examining the biblical foundation and practical application of this gift, we can better appreciate its significance and seek to cultivate it within our church community.

The gift of apostleship involves being sent out to proclaim the gospel, establish churches, and provide spiritual leadership. Apostles are often seen as pioneers and visionary leaders who initiate new works and oversee multiple ministries. The Bible provides several instances where the gift of apostleship is demonstrated:

Jesus chose twelve disciples, naming them apostles, and sent them out to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons.

Paul, called to be an apostle, was instrumental in spreading the gospel to the Gentiles, establishing churches, and providing spiritual oversight.

The primary purpose of the gift of apostleship is to glorify God and build up the church.
