Psalm 2 is a powerful declaration of God's absolute sovereignty over every nation, ruler, and kingdom. It begins with kings and nations uniting in rebellion, believing they can overthrow God's authority and reject His Anointed One. But heaven's response is striking—God laughs, not because rebellion is amusing, but because no human power can ever frustrate His eternal purposes.

God declares that He has established His King on Zion. While this originally points to David's royal line, the New Testament reveals its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ, the Messiah and King of kings. Christ's reign is certain, His kingdom is everlasting, and one day every knee will bow before Him.

Psalm 2 ends with both a warning and an invitation. Those who continue in pride and rebellion face judgment, but those who humble themselves, serve the Lord, and take refuge in Him will find mercy, peace, and eternal security.

No government, culture, or earthly power is greater than God. His plans cannot be stopped, His kingdom cannot be shaken, and His promises never fail.
